Caterpillar Northern Ireland

Formerly known as FG Wilson, Caterpillar Northern Ireland was acquired by Caterpillar in 1999 and is an integral part of the Caterpillar enterprise.

The company has two sites in Northern Ireland. The facility located in Larne is home to the Electric Power business where the team designs and manufactures Cat® Power Solutions for key business sectors including data centres, construction, mining, healthcare, utility and other industries.

The Springvale facility, Belfast, produces major component subassemblies including axles and transmissions for Cat articulated trucks as well as other oil and gas applications.

Larne Football Club

Larne Football Club is one of three professional football clubs in Northern Ireland, proudly boasting a men’s senior team who take part in European competitions, alongside a full-time Scholarship Programme, a top division women’s team and a growing Academy which benefits both boys and girls within our community.

Brighter Futures Charity Partner

The Brighter Futures charity and its Community Fund Programme aim to support the Larne community by providing grants to those who have upcoming projects/initiatives for which they require financial aid.

The funding programme is a rolling initiative where those operating within the Larne Borough area can apply for support of up to £500, which will then be considered by our Trustees.

Since 2020, the Charity has handed out £13,600 in grants to individuals and working groups throughout the Borough, helping to kickstart business, support local athletes and assist in other programmes which have had a positive impact on our community.
